NYR SCCA Auto-X tomorrow, 7/27

Just a heads up guys, I am going to be going to the New York region SCCA auto-x at Nassau Coliseum tomorrow.

If you are in the area, please swing by or SHOW UP AND RUN YOUR MERCEDES! It'd be nice to see more then one MB at these events... it is fun as hell.

If you want to race plan on getting there at 8:30 am for registration.

Unfortunately, the KLEEMANN mods aren't here yet... so, maybe I'll have presents when I get back from the X tomorrow...

Not that this thread generated any great amount of interest but...

This is the second autox that was foiled by a nail in the tire. I spent the morning driving around looking for anyone willing to remove and patch my left rear (the baldest tire on the car). No one wanted to do it, liability this, liability that, "you can't drive on those tires", fooie- Finally got some ape at a gas station to do it. Sucks being two hours away from your own shop when this crap happens. Spoke to a friend and there was a huge turn out too... Damn, next weekend...

Too bad, you'll get them next time. You need a pickup, trailer and a pit crew.

you should probly get a sponsor like brabusCclass or whoever so you can get lots of freebie stuff. You're one of the few autox ing coupes.

Yeah, or at least enough to plug your tires. It doesn't require much. Maybe you should look into that since you seem to have bad luck with nails.

Nuts, that sucks. Guess it's too hard to always carry around a bald spare.

You need to put a metal detector out on the front of your car.

LOL guys-

Nevide- Thankfully, KLEEMANN has stepped forward as a perfromance sponsor for me. Unfortunately, crew and tires are not included I do think they are doing much more then they had too. Parts coming soooooonnnnn

I've got to take care of the tires. The issue is that I auto-x on my street tires, NYC, North jersey, visit my parents in south jersey every weekend. Considering the amount I travel, this isn't too bad.

I'll let everyone know what I am doing next weekend. I am hoping to have tires by then, depends on what I can find dumpster diving at the tire places around here...
