A160 CLASSIC (The Tardis), VW Passat Diesel
good call on the mog those things are damm near unstoppable, they built them here down under (or reassembled them) for the Army they make the Hummer look like a dinky toy. Have been off road in one and the guy who owned told me lots of good storiesd about it. The 4wd system and the diff locks and gearing and also 4 wheel steering are amazing...
so does that make the A class not a true MB.?? look at the design and safety features it has and it is rated as oen of the safest small cars around look at the euro ratings it has also the best for side impacts.. isn;t safety part of the MB tradition?
let's look at some of the features you might take for granted but I love to see them in a Corolla which was equivalent new price to what we paid for our one yr old 2nd hand A class.
front and rear fog lamps
Brake Assist
ABS
Traction Control ASR
ESP program
5 speed auto tiptronic with winter mode
4 airbags std option of windowbags all round
Front passenger seat airbag sensor
Automatic chlid seat recognition
Seat belt pre tensioners and belt force limiters
front and rear foglamps
outside temparature gauge
service assist system
pollen filter
unique design and construction to ensure engine slides underneath the car not into the safety cell.
195/50/15 Michelin tyres
Heated and electric mirrors
Adjustable headlights to suit loads
Back seats fully removable with levers only 32 different configurations or 72 with optional removable front passenger seat
Std first aid kit as in all MB's and safety triangle
All usual MB options such as Parktronic, Speedtronic, heated seats, leather, sunroof
3 year unlimited km warranty with roadside assist
heaps of other accessories including AMG and cosmetic options...
Need to say more?

2003 C230K Sport Coupe, 1986 190E 2.3
My dealer must not know I do not have a real Benz. I mean if he did I would not get an ML320 loaner and my car picked up and dropped off to me for service because I did not buy a real Benz. I get the same loaner and service that a guy buying an SL55 gets. So apparantly you BenzOwner you are the only one who feels that the coupe is not a real Benz. Also look at your C240, before the coupe it was the low-end Benz. So you must not have got a real one either I guess. That is if we assume the low model is not real, at least following your logic.

C240's are not real MB's, many are made in Brazil by poor people driven from their native rainforest land due to deforrestion caused by the C240 plant

Carl, funny how you attack a 4 door sedan that is a real benz. Listen, If your japaneese looking hatchback ever gets recognition from people over 30 years of age then come back and talk about my c240. Till then keep stuffing your face with the muffins because thats all you are getting for your car

Since when is speed the measure of luxury? Shows much you know about cars. Can someone please at the very least reply with inteligence. If you can not then just keep it to your self. Thats how fights start here.
By the way, you can buy good eye glasses for cheap these days. Once you put them on I am sure you will see the C240 as a Benz and not a crumy hyundai. Good luck to you

Also I dont get these comments that outline the fact the c-coupe is a hatchback. Is that a bad thing? Wouldnt that make all Porsche 911's hatchbacks then too (and I doubt you would find porsche owners identifing each others cars by the way the back opens). If so I consider that a good thing, for if I were driving a sports car Id rather it be a coupe "hatchback" then some clunky 4-door kia lookalike.
just my $0.02

Who ever says that speed adds luxury. I'm stating that your car is dang slow. Think fast not talk fast. That's how fights can be avioded. As for glasses I think you need it more than I do for stating the coupe as a japanese looking hatchback since it resembles the corrado which is a VW that is made by a GERMANNNNNN auto maker and not japanese. You know that country in europe not the one in asia.

it's "intelligence", not "inteligence";
it's "yourself", not "your self";
it's "that's" , not "thats".
