Noise When Electrics Are On
Folks,
Just noticed like a squeaking noise coming from my engine. Nearly like belts but i don't 'think' its that.
I noticed when i have the lights on or press anything electric in the car it happens. When turn lights etc off it stops.
Any ideas what i could look at for this issue guys

PS. Car Model: 2001 Merc C220 CDI Automatic.

Possibly, belt [on the alternator] is making that noise. When the lights and other electric accessories are turned on, that puts load on the alternator and if the belt is not in good condition you will hear that squeak. If the belt is new, look at the belt tensioner.
