And what do you think D+ & D- means,..... If you activate D+, do you think you should see D+ on your dashboard,.... and if you activate D-, do you think you should see D- on your dashboard,...

Guys ~ If you have nothing of value to add move on & belt up.
hessa ~ see diagram. To manually shift up and down if revs are safe to do so you tap the lever left or right. There is no display for this on some clusters. If your transmission is not reacting to left or right movement of the selector then it's likely that the selector switches have become gummed up. Remove the selector & clean the switching mechanism with a good switch cleaner.

Thank you for the information. I know how it works. I can move the knob (left-right) to gear up and down but the problem is the engine or transmission does not respond. I don't have any error on dashboard related to transmission or engine. While driving at 1500 rpm when I try to gear down, the transmission does not gear down. I also tried to reset the transmission ecu. It did not work also.
Do I need to open the shifter? I found some disassembly instructions for bmw but I don't know how to do it in w203?

Inoperative touch shifting will not throw a code. It is not part of the OBDII regime. If it was a shift plate or conductor plate issue it would throw a code.
The only time the touch shift should refuse a downshift is if the engine would exceed max RPM.
