Hi All, I'm new and I love my car to bits, oh and i'm in South Africa. Recently my car started making noise as I brake and visited the dealership and was advised to replace the front brake pads and discs. I am worried about the parts I was given by the parts department. The part numbers for the brake pads are MA005 420 62 20 and when I checked the pads inside they look different to the ones on the car. The are TRW's, no are these repackaged alternatives or what. I do not want to pay OEM prices for alternative products.
I have attached the images for the packaging. Please advise if these pads are as good as the originals or if they are the originals.
Thanx.

From what I know (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), Mercedes-Benz charges extra for parts that come packaged in their boxes. But those pads will work for your car.
Those are OEM only OEM pads have the Mercedes logo. You can get TRW pads without the logo but the compound may be different. I found out that Pagid pads made in germany which are an oem supplier suck. I had to replace them after about 10K even though they looked brand new due to noise issues with the compound. I then bought OEM pads and they are TRW made in india and no issues at all.
