Trunk button on trunk does not work, help please.

So when I go to open the trunk manually and press the button it does not function. It feels as if it is stuck and i cannot press it. Does anyone know a way to fix this? Thanks!

Well my trunk will pop open using the button on the key or inside the car but if i were to unlock the car and try to open the trunk manually using the handle on the trunk it has no function. I hear no click, no "whirr", no nothing. The handle is useless. I did read about if the battery gets disconnected the trunk has issues but did not find a solution about it. So i was hoping someone would have a solution. Thanks for the quick reply tho!

I see. So, it's definitely not the lock/unlock motor. Seems like the push handle got stuck. Might need replacement tho. Removal process same as above.

just remove the liner on the trunk to see if the latch is functioning correctly
