2003 C240 4matic wagon transmission drops into neutral
I contacted a third party online with my issue as follows:
My 2003 C240 wagon transmission started slipping last night, then when placed in drive, acted like it was still in neutral. When I shut the car off for 5 minutes, it would go back into gear, but when slowing or stopping on an upward incline, back to neutral. Check engine light is on. 5 minutes off, allows it to go back into gear
There are four error codes displaying now.
1-P2502
2-P220A
3-P2500
4-P2221
The guy that I contacted has a strong opinion that the wiring harness has been contaminated, and the seal is bad, but my mechanic did not observe that issue.
"As I mentioned on the 5th, I'm still strongly suspecting a common problem with the main electrical connector."

when was the last transmission drain and refill? n replaced AT plug adapter?
if past 40k miles then your transmission was most likely leaking from plug adapter and destroyed the trans computer
do a search here on the rad troubles i had it happen to my car 2 years ago I stopped driving it replaced rad and did a tranny FLUSH and i got lucky all was well!
good luck!
Contact148: I will have him check the radiator brand; I had heard of this issue from a co-worker. He did say that the tranny fluid looked fine. Which would be easier to detect?...tranny fluid in the coolant or vice versa?
dont drive the car till you figure it out you may cause more dammage
