Ready to join the posting with my Coupe
Hey all, I've been all over this site for about a year now and have been looking for new and great ideas to take to add to my 2002 C coupe. I know there isn't much for power to be had but I know that my 2.3L I4 is the one to have over the M271 engine in the 03's and up.
The car as it sits beautifully is stock other than an upgraded stereo and double din Kenwood deck. The main reason I'm starting to post is because I've been putting the mods off for the longest time and she's starting to look dated. Would really appreciate any and all advice and help that you guys give.
Thanks much and rep that Tri-Star.

I want what he's smoking.
I'd say suspension (c/os or springs/struts AND sway bars), pulley, chip (combined with pulley, adds about 12-15 hp to the wheels if you're lucky), lightweight 18" rims and good rubber, Flowmaster cat, exhaust, then custom work in whatever direction you want to go...

Thanks, that's exactly what I was thinking. The suspension I'm on the the fence because I want to do coilovers but the price pushes me away towards springs and shocks. I mean I want to drop it but I'm not looking for a slam and the springs drop but if you don't like it you either change the pads or cut the springs so I'm trying to find the best solution at the best price.
What are your thoughts. It's a daily driver and back road warrior but the handling ATM I find is really predictable and I can easy control it on its limits.

That's because the limits are so low in stock form. The best mod for the $$ is new swaybars; they're way too thin from the factory.
Don't ever cut the springs. Besides, aftermarket springs are pretty reasonable for our cars. I'm like you, and didn't want a huge drop, so I have Eibach springs and Koni Sport struts, suits me just fine.
What rims/tires are you on?

What did that combo run you? Been having trouble finding a price for the koni shocks. I have the stock C7/Evolution package 17" rims with Michelin high performance all seasons.

I originally had matched Eiback springs/struts, and that ran $800 or so, I think?
Replaced the struts with Koni Sports from Tirerack, I think they were around $650. Memory's a bit fuzzy; you can check prices on Tirerack.

Why did you change from the Eibacks shocks to the Koni's?
