Am I this retarded??

So I'm going to replace my wiper blades. I go on pepboys.com to order the correct ones that will fit. I get the ones listed and I get them. Go to put them on and theres no way they will fit. This is fckin rediculous?? Am I only suppose to go to mercedes to get them? What do you guys use? I've never even seen a wiper blade design like this either..

Better off getting them from benz, Ive had problems with aftermarket wipers hitting the side of the windshield trim.
What doesnt fit exactly, the place where they should clip on or are they too big/small?

Buy the Mercedes ones online from a dealer site like
getmercedesparts.com
Order a few oil filters and other maint. items while you're at it.

Aftermarket never fit.

To answer the first question,... yes

To answer second question,.... our generation of C-class has two different type of wiper arms,... one with wide J-hooks for conventional wiper blades with aero spoiler (pre 2004) and one with L type hooks (post 2004) for newer aero blades. For your 2006,... Bosch Icons should fit well,...

When I take the wiper of. Its like I slide a clip and it comes off. and the wiper arm is just a square piece that rotates.. I never seen something like it before..

The wiper where it goes on is too small for the piece to clip on. But I never seen a square peice that spins as what you put the wiper blade onto..

AutoZone currently has Bosch Icon at buy one get one half price,.... basically 25% off. There's 2 common type of Bosch Icon,.. type A and type B,... I can't remember which one MB takes,... I think it's type A,... but just have the AutoZone guy look it up and install it for you (free installation).

Bosch 3397118933 Aerotwin fit my car right out of the box, no fuss, no muss. I have had them on for a year, and they wipe much better than the squeegee man on Supulveda.

If your car (I suppose you could change to them) uses the Bosch Aeortwin, I've had very good luck with these inserts from rmeuropean (http://www.rmeuropean.com/mercedes-parts.aspx#Category) I hope that goes to the wiper inserts. They are MUCH cheaper than a whole blade and not much harder to install.

There probably are insert for the Valeo as I've seen youtube videos on how to change them but it doesn't look like rmeuropean sells them.

[sorry, I just tried the link and it doesn't go where it was supposed to. Enter your car information, then for "Group" choose "Wiper and Washer", then for "Keyword" type "insert", then for "Category" choose "Windshield Wiper Blade Insert"] They also seem to have Valeo blade inserts, too!

Order wiper inserts based on whether your wiper blades are Bosch or SWF-Valeo. They are NOT interchangeable. Bosch wiper inserts have extra side ridge and thick single metal spine along the centre. SWF-Valeo wiper inserts have dual metal spine along the sides. You'll have to reuse your metal spine since new wiper insert does not come with metal spine.

Gawd a set of wiper from MB is like 30 bucks online and only need replacement once every year or 2. Why all the fuss?
Use this stuff and almost never replace them.

Well, my wife's car is in the garage and haven't needed to change her blades yet, but my car sits outside. I've changed the blades at least twice in the last year. I think I'd rather pay $6 -8 per change rather than $30 - 40.

The latest Benz blades have a sexy silver star logo on them at the tip. Just fitted to my CLK at the Mobilodrive Plan 15K mile service. It's nice to see them not cutting corners when the service is FOC.
