Question about rewiring

I need help here....ok my question is, im having a Pioneer DVD with the flip out monitor installed into my car. The installer said that i needed to have new wire installed to my speakers, due to everything being fiber optic. I do have the Bose system in the car. I just want to get charged for a whole rewiring if all i need is a $20.00 wiring harness. he said my only other choice was to run it through a FM modulator into the factory head unit. I am not worried about the steering wheel controls nor the cd changer. i did figure that from the head unit to the cd changer was fiber optic but not to all the speakers. Thanks for any help.

I have the Pioneer unit as well...you need to re-wire all the speakers...but it will work and sound fine. Don't do the FM modulator...it will sound horrible.
