help with my issuse with depo HID projector headlights
Hi wondering if anyone could help me with my problem. So i purchased the depo projector headlights with the hid ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/USA-DEPO-01-...015694&vxp=mtr ) that the link of what i bought. so i took a couple of hours installing it didnt know i had to take tires and bumper off but after all of that the driver side worked for a bit but the passenger side worked then stopped for like a second. so i checked my wiring making sure everything was right positive and negative and the other that connected to the ballasts. then i checked my bulb and i didnt touch the bulb with my hands. When i looked at it the circular part in the middle had like yellow liquid spots well looks dried now inside it. is it blown? any help would be very grateful thanks!!!

Apparently, stains on the inside the gas sphere are NOT necessarily signs of a broken bulb, it just gets that way from an unsuccessful ignite. After next successful ignite, the stains will go away.

when going from halogen to hid on our cars, to prevent the hids from flickering the headlight present needs to be switched to xenon. this can be done by going to MB or any shop that has a STAR diagnostic machine and change the settings. Or you can buy a set of error cancellors from places like AznOptics a sponsor here to prevent it.
This is why I tell members if they are buying Depo headlights, dont buy the expensive ones that come with the hid and bixs already on it. They over charge for the bix depos, just get the basic ones and then spend your money on a better hid kit like the Morimoto brand ones and if you do want bix, I suggest getting OEM ones or retrofitting better projectors that will help with lighting output and cutoff from a company like TRS.com

If those are true HID projectors... thats not a bad deal. But take that garbage ballast and throw it out of the window As phister said, you should get a quality ballast for that, although it would involve some work to get the connector to plug into the OEM one.
Morimoto is an excellent brand, as well as Denso and Matsu****a.
I dont know where you guys get these from, but one of my favourite websites for this is
http://www.theretrofitsource.com
They have ONLY high quality products and I truly appreciate that they tell you the truth about the junk aftermarket you usually buy for 40-80$
Good luck! BTW as the guys said, you need to turn on HID in your car before they will function properly (dealer)

Im not sure Ive never done it, but before you actually throw out your ballasts, try that first (going to the dealer as the others have said). If they work fine then good, only replace them if you have to, unless you feel like spending money :P

lol was thinking about returning them but then i remembered i have to pay for shipping an there is a 15% restocking fee so it would be the same price as the cheaper headlight. i should of ask more questions before purchasing.
thanks guys for the help now what about the fog lights should i get projector for them? lol

Ive got the projector fogs and I like them but the adjustment screw is junk so be careful with them. I stripped the cheap plastic the first day I had them installed. Putting hids in the projector fogs really pushed out a lot light out to the sides.

So i i finally had a chance to install the headlights again XD the bulb were not blown. i purchased the error canceler like you guys said it worked thanks guys but the driver headlight i had issues with. where the plug connector, connects to on the headlight there was excess plastic material in the way making not plug in all the way. so i had to sit there for like almost an hour taking it out without damaging the prongs. after all of that it fit properly.
NOW my right side shines a littler higher then the left side so is there a nut to adjust the light hight? or when i put the bumper aligner that screws into to side of the headlight i put that to high?
Those headlights make my car look so much better now
