(Help?) 2007 A/C sound - Troubleshooting
I need your help troubleshooting the strange intermittent hissing sound that my A/C makes. This is not a stepping motor, and not the blower fan. Air flows everywhere I want it to go and the fan is quiet at all speed levels. The strange sound comes only when the A/C is on.
Here's a video of what I'm talking about:
The video may be a bit longer than you need... I did not alter the sound at all.
I start the video with the A/C off, then I turn it ON, and give you over a minute of sound (uninterrupted). The strange noise is more pronounced at ~0:37
Then I have two rev-up segments without the A/C and with A/C ON (starts at ~1:37). The sound is more pronounced when I step off the gas pedal and RPM goes down.
What can this be? Is this a normal A/C sound for W203?
Please help!
Could you kindly leave your input? I could really use your help with this one?
Is this how your A/C sounds? Is this a sound of a low refrigerant level? Is this something else?
Pretty please with sugar on top?
