Any MB dealer in NYC can activate the TV button

Wanted to activate the TV button on my US spec Command system and I'm in NYC. If any one out there can tell me which NYC MB dealer can perform this service, I'll be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I first had mine activated by Nav-TV when they installed my comand, I brought my car in for service a while later and I think MB manhatttan updated my comand, deactivating the button, I told them and they fixed it for free... My service advisor was Tony Briggs, for other STAR modifications they charged me half hour of labor It hink or maybe an hour.

Davidta, thanks for the quick reply. By the way, I heard of the Nav-TV and just wanted to know how's their service and the quality on the job they did on your car? What type of the services you ask them to do it in your car? And if its possible, would you like to tell me how much they charge on those services? Thanks again !!

The people at Nav-TV are real smart and do good work, though unlike Steve they do not try and use mostly MB pats, but they seem to be able to fix almost anything electronic or modify it. There service is not the best however, though they do seem to stand by there work 100%. I had them retrofit a comand with AUX port into my car before steve was coming to the east coast and they did a good job, 6 months later it seemed to get a little inaccurate after I had my car serviced, I don't know why and MB Manhattan couldn't find anything worng, it was a block and a half off in the city. Nav-TV went and corrected the problem for free. With all that being said they are not cheap, but I would def. trust them to do more work in my car and would def. recomend them if Steve is not available to do work, oh and they have there own STAR computer in their shop.

Davidta, thanks very much for all the answers you gave me. Great info and I'm trying to call MB Manhattan to see if they can do the job for me.

I have the command option when I bought my car. However, I called my dealer in Bayside and asked for this service, the answer is no because of safety issue of the US law.

I'm asking this because I want Steve to install the TV and DVD while he is coming in late Aug. So, hope MB Manhattan can do it for me

Davidta, one more things I wanted to know is how's the TV signal reception going when you are driving on the road or in station? Is it in good condition or in a very fuzzy way, or it doesn't worth to have it...would you like to give me some comment of this.... Thanks !!
