My wife's 2001 c240 its having my worse nightmare right now the car is over 120 xx miles and like 3 months ago we start having the yellow triangle on the dash and the car lose's power Wierd, i told her well this is not normal but we dnt have much money to take it to the dealer or any place so they can diagnose the problem i work in mechanic before but not this type cars, she was drying from work and the car died on the free way with a big traffic from stoping she got home i checked the car and the car was shaking wierd and i check the air when i removed it and clean it the problem got worse i change spark plugs and still the problem i dont have money to be wasting in anything i got several codes on the autopart P0170 FUEL TRIM B1 P0173 FUEL TRIM B2 P0301 CYL 1 MF
P0302 CYL 2 MF P0100 MAF CKT MF P0304 CYL 4 MF P300 FMD CYL MF
i know theres lots of codes and i m so worried bcuz i dnt have money to spent
this is the only car we have to go work my question is the low accelation could be the gass pump from cheap gas we were using the 87 for like 1 hole year thanks if u read and explain me with a good answer

Please check the fuel pressure at the Schrader valve on the front fuel rail that connects the injectors. Snould be >3.8bar or 55 psi while cranking.
Your misfire codes are likely spark plug wires or coilpacks at the vehicles age. I would change all plug wires. If misfires persist then work out which coilpacks are causing.
Clean the MAF with CRC MAF cleaner.
When last did the car have a fuel filter?
Good luck!

I have 170k on my 01 c240. if the plugs and plug wires haven't been changed, it's time. Sudden massive loss of power with the yellow triangle warning light is almost certainly going to be the MAF. Don't ask me why, i didn't replace one before 100k and I am on my third one now. You can take your chances on brands, do yourself a favor and get the best price you can find on a Bosche and buy it, and buy some MAF cleaner because you will need it! They do sell the Bosche MAF without the body assembly for just under a hundred bucks if you can find a seller with inventory.

Yes,.... CRC MAF SensorKleen,... remember to spray and pray! Pray that you don't need a new MAF Sensor.
Also check all air & vacuum hose in the area for cracks and leaks.
And do NOT use 87 gas ,.... these cars are designed for 91 gas,... lower octane on a regular basis can and WILL damage your fuel system and engine.

Hi Elcuban09,
Did you mess with the MAF before it started acting funny?
Pull that airbox back off and make sure not only the MAF is installed properly into the 45 degree elbow (1.5" metal clip in the back to seat?)...
but also that same elbow was reattached correctly back to the throttle body.
There's a slight lateral adjustment I can feel at the end when it locks in place.
Un-metered air causes havoc.
Then install that plastic locking ring and make sure the airbox drops into place correctly.
Have you been experiencing 'sub-optimal' throttle response and/or idle issues too?
