2002 C230K SC air intake
2002 C230 Coupe 2.3L Kompressor
There appear to be three inlets for induction air, but only one goes through the actual air filter. There is a pipe on the driver's side that appears to go to the MAF and then routed to the cylinders where the fuel injectors are.
There is an inlet near the center of the grill that does go direct into the air filter box.
Finally on the passenger side is another intake that seems to travel to the supercharger. Again unfiltered.
Help a novice out to understand where all this air goes and what it does.

there is actually only one intake system. In the front of the engine bay there is an airbox that i believe says Mercedes Benz on it. There should be a filter inside that box. The air travels from that box, to the supercharger, then next into the intercooler and then up the pipe you see on the drivers side and then into the throttle body which proceeds from the intake manifold into the engine.
