When or If to Service Air-conditioning
When or If to Service Air-conditioning
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The air conditioning is operating well except for an intermittent sonic whine when on low settings ie not working hard on a coolish day- been there for years & is not a concern.
My question is :- Is it best to have a regas & oil change planned maintenance service or to leave well alone , don't rock the boat & save my hard earned.?
Any MB air-conditioning experiences welcome.

I've never serviced my MB air-conditioning system but I think the general rule of air-conditioning service is just recharging it. Other than that I think just having it inspected is needed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

JC ~ I would leave well alone. Benz does not even recommend touching it in their high mileage service category (>170K miles or 17 years). I would only top up oil if you ever burst a pipe & discharge a combo of oil & refrigerant.
