Uneven accleration

2003 C230K & 2007 C230
Uneven accleration
2003 C230K, 230K miles, original battery. Lately, when accelerating onto highway or going up hill at speed the car seems to run unevenly almost feels like an intermittent hesitation or "stutter". Problem seems to go away after 40 - 50 miles of high speed driving. No CEL, warning lights, mileage unaffected, loss of power or speed. No obvious issues except for 2 battery/alternator warnings in the last 6 months that cleared as soon as I restarted. Thoughts?

Ten years on the same battery, Wow !. It certainly does not owe you anything.
I often read on this site of unusual electrical happenings to 203's when the battery is old & weak.
May be the first thing to try is a new one as you have had two warnings . After your 40 -50 miles drive the alternator may have charged it up sufficiently.
