biggest wheel/tire I can fit?

hi I search the forum with no luck.
I have a c230 2003. I have 17's I want to get 18's can I go with 225/45 to eliminate wheel gap? tirerack recommends 40's?

Most do 225/40 for 18s or 235/40 which its close to 225/45

If you don't want too aggressive eibachs drop the car nicely. H&R drop the cars a lot. And if you don't have a sport I'd suggest those for a good factory height. The sport have the lowest drop on all w203 including the c32. The deal with our cars is that the rear springs sit on pads and each model has different # that range from 1-4, 1 beings the thinnest. Sports model have either 1 or 2. So if you install it and don't like the drop in the rear you can adjust it with the pads

I have the sport so what would make it look better but not be harsh ride Eibach Pro Kit? I also don't want the car to set back. I want that slight rake. will I need to roll my fenders?
Do you think 235/40/18's in the front and 245/40/18 rears will rub?
Thanks you're a huge help!!!

You don't want the straight rake for our cars. Our car was designed to have a rake for handling purposes and it looks off when you do it to our cars, the front looks way high compared to the rear. It all depends on your offset of your wheels if it'll rub or not.

okay any idea on the offset size? So what springs do you recommend for a moderate drop with 18's? Will the fender need to be rolled?

do you know the off set? The H&R are a pretty aggressive drop though right? how big a spacer did you need?

Well even with H&Rs it leaves finger gap in the front. I'd personally go with coilovers if money's not a proble. 5mm was enough. I put 12mm in the rear to try to even them out.

okay the Eibach aren't as low right? coilovers are too much. Any idea how much it is to install the springs?

When I was buying springs H&R had the biggest drop but not by a lot. I went with it anyways. Installation is usually around $200-$300, which is basically the same amount as the springs. I installed them myself

Thanks for the help.. I think I'm gonna go with the Eibach springs.
18's with 235/40/18 (45 offset) front and 245/40/18 back (40 offset). Think I'll need spacers or to roll my fenders?

You want between +25-+38 offset for our cars if you don't want spacers. If you don't want to run spacers and rub I'd recommend +30 all around.

I talked to tirerack and they said I should be okay with 235 40's front and 255/40's back
wheel size 18x8 front 18x9 back think they are correct?

I'd add at least 5mm spacer to the rear for a little more clearance from the inner fender wall and give the front to rear an even look. But I would run 235/40/18 & 255/35/18.

Hi so I got the wheels. Super happy. Went with 235/40 18 and 255/35 18
I do want to get spacers for the back to even it out. I thinking two 10mm spacers? Is it okay to double up two 5mm spacer to make 1, 10mm?
Thanks for all the help!!!
