All,
Hope someone can help me out. Earlier this week, my c240 started making noise when I took corners, sounded like a grating in the left front wheel well. I looked under the car, and there was a piece hanging in front of the tire (Pic attached). Anyone know what this is? $ on fixing? Safe to drive until I can get it into the shop?

+1, if you look you will see that piece is shaped like an L (well, reversed L on the left side 
) and goes about 8 inches up the wheel well in front of the tire, and comes down and turns and then tucks under the edge of the front bumper cover. You might be able to just tuck it back where it belongs, they get popped back like that sometimes if you (like me) get the front bumper up against curbs sometimes. They aren't expensive and if it is warped or cracked or rubbed apart replacing it is probably easiest. I think 3 or 4 bolts total. I did mine in the parking lot at work. (BTW, when you take it off you will find the windshield washer reservoir is behind it.)
Either RMEuropean or www.getmercedesparts.com will server you well for it. That one probably has a part number stamped on it.
