Can a ClC drive around the USA

I owned a 2002 C-class coupe back in the mid 2000's. I enjoyed it very much and would happily drive another if the chance came about. That's not why I'm here. I'm interested in getting my hands on the CLC which debuted in 2008. The styling is great and it's based on the coupe owed. I'm sure it would be a great car to drive. Can I bring one into the states? Would that even be allowed? I know the NHTSA makes importing cars damn near impossible. Should I give up or not?

Just wondering.

Mike

Maybe not, but you can retrofit your 2002 with CLC parts.

exterior mods

I like that the c230 can be modded to look like a CLC, but at what cost? and what about modding beyond the exterior?

Also are you definately sure that a clc can't be imported?

I think it would be cheaper to mod the c230 into the clc parts. Plus it would be easier and less hassle

It would be cheaper to move to Europe and get a job there.

Mike, I don't see this being a feasible idea at all, honestly.

I am pretty sure you can import anything under the rules of DOT and DMV. I have seen B-class driving around my area imported from Canada. Call them and find out.

As far as interior goes, it is not any different than the 2005+ c-coupe other than the steering wheel. Find one of those and then give it a exterior face lift and you will have your CLC.
