C230 Battery Drain

C230 Battery Drain
My C230K dies if it is not started everyday, yet it never shows any error lights for this. I have unplugged both the seat modules, and pulled the fuse for the sunroof controls (both common problems I know of in these cars).
Any other common problems that would cause this? It is intermittant, and the dealer could not figure it out (although they didn't have a problem charging me
)
Thanks for your help!

have you tested the battery? how old is the battery? some models have the voltage regulator and sometimes that is a common issue. I dont remember if your year and model has one or not.

It's strange in that it comes and goes, but makes me nervous each time a turn the key.

I would take it to an electrical specialist and see if they can diagnose the issue. they have the right tools to see if something is draining the battery and constantly on even if the car is off.

Hi All - I finally am home for the summer and took my car into RBM Atlanta to diagnose this problem. They said the drain was coming from my bluetooth tape in my tape player. Anyone ever heard of this? My mom has the same tape in her car (C320) and she has never had any battery drain issues. They said that was the only thing causing it, and for me to just remove the tape.
Is this was the problem at least it was a relatively cheap fix. Any comments?

Any after market plug in unit can cause a drain, yours is probably a (common) quality control failure.
If the issue is gone when the bluetooth is removed, you have a solid diagnosis.

Well Just as I suspected it was not the tape in the tape player. They now said that the rear amp is causing the drain and it will be upwards of $2000 to replace and install. I think I may just drive around without a stereo until I sell it... So far every year since I've owned the car I've dropped 2K on something that wasn't normal maintenance. Ugh

I know too many people using a cell phone - ipod, because their OE car stereo will cost more than the car value to repair.
