$1360 of the difference it the automatic transmission which is standard on the C320 but is an option on the Sport Sedan. I have no idea about the other $150 in price.

yeah thats what i was thinking

so its still pretty much even. i thought the 320 sport should be maybe 500- 1000 more than the 320 non sport.

actually

I think they only have 4matic sedan but not sports. also... the sports version have some of the elements in the coupe. for example, the steering wheel, it's a 3 spoke instead of a 4 spoke... which is much nicer!!!

Sorry Lynn but your calculator needs new batteries.

C320............$37630
C320 Sport...$35920
Auto.............$1360

-> difference = $350

Pricing makes no sense since last year they were the same price and the same differences in equipment level still exist.

Yeah, I heard months ago that the 320 sport sedan would no longer be available in 4matic, so I guess it was true. I think there were complaints about the conflict between all-wheel drive and low profile high performance tires.

pricing

You guys are right about MB pricing strategies. I didn't figure this out until after I bought mine last year, but why does MB continue to sell the leather for $1470 and the pano roof for $1240 for a total of $2710 when for $100 more, you get the premium sound? I know that many of you have ripped the Bose system, but trust me, for $100, I would gladly upgrade from the stock stereo!

Maybe a better question would be why would dealers order the car this way?

Don't get me wrong-- I still love my Benz. I just want the stereo to sound as good as the car looks and that's easier to do before you finance the car, ya know?

Anyway, thanks Air for letting us know about the updated website.

2003 C240 4matic
Re: Re: actually

I would not be surprised if there were complaints. When I bought my C 4Matic I asked the salesman what tires the 4Matic Sport had and he thought they had all season tires. I went and took a look and they were low profile high performance summer tires. Even with 4Matic these will not do the job in winter cold as there is no adhesion when braking on ice etc due to the rubber compound. So I imagine you are right that some owners were unhappy when winter came and they either had an accident or discovered they had to buy 4 winter or A/S tires.

On my Audi S4 I replaced the low profile tires (one bubbled after 3000 miles) with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires and they were fine in the winter and pretty good in the summer. I don't know why Mercedes did not equip the Sport 4Matics with those tires.

I bought the C240 4Matic non-sport. The suspension is the same and I prefer the 16 inch wheels and all season tires.

C320 Coupe
I noticed on the coupes you have have to get the $1450 power seats to get home link and visor vanity mirrors, which are standard on the 03s.

I was at Fletcher Jones last week, they had a few 2004 C sedans and coupes in. No literature, I asked. The dealers order the worst options.

Not one C class on the lot had bixenon headlights. All the C320 Coupes had 16 inch wheels? Lots of sedan sports models, the 17 inch rims look good on it. Not one Bordeaux Red Metallic anywhere in c class, a few E's.

The dual opening center armrest is not a s nice as the old one. The windshield wiper was cool though.

Instead of opening backwards, it now has a button on each side. Push the opposite button and it opens to either the drivers or passengers side.

this is probably the only thing i hate about fletcher jones in my buying experience

out of the millions of cars they had there, not 1 car had the bi xenons option that i had wanted

its like ****, order your cars with some variety. not everyone likes to order cars especially myself. i just want to get one off the lot.

how can they be the biggest place in CA and one of the biggest in the nation and you dont have 1 car equipped with bi xenons

I didn't use a calculator, just my out of practice brain.
