Interesting, because my 05 C230SS has it on all four windows as well as my moonroof. In fact, occasionally on the moonroof, it "thinks" it detects something in the way and almost closes then opens partway back again.

The sunroof was designed to stop half way if you don't hold down the button to close. If you do the quick press it'll close then open back up.

A module in the door commands the window lift motor. The current passes through a low value resistor when the window is raised or lowered. The voltage across the resistor is the current in the motor. The higher the voltage, the higher the current.

A microprocessor reads the voltage, and if out of range for the firmware it cuts power to the motor. When the window reaches the top, the current goes up and the power is stopped. The module remembers the amount of current and stores that value. When you resync the window after a battery change a new value for current is read and stored.

Great info...much better than a "yes" or "no".
