Mercedes-Benz C230K Sport Coupé (CL203)
Kind of a new member here so might as well post a few updates on my stunning 2003 CL203. The progress of my car is already quite far off from the original looks, but to get things started here's a few Stock photos that i taken a year ago
Advices and comments are very welcome, whatever it takes to make the CL beats the look of a Ferrari
Bought this car in 2010 with only 19.000 milage and quite surprised that it was fitted with Designo package and AMG Sport package! it was also fitted with a very rigid looking 17" AMG Wheels! so without hesitation i simply can't hold the urge and bought it.

Welcome to the forum!
Are you a native of Indo or did you move there?
Have you seen the new Ferrari FF hatchback?
Ha, if anyone give you any crap about a hatch tell 'em your car
inspired Ferrari.
I used to have the rims you have, but went back to the ones that came stock known as C7 wheels so I could rotate them.
What year is your car? Sadly in the US we lost the C coupe in 2005.
Is that your interior? Red and black? From the factory? More pics please!!!!

kemang ya, i'm from menteng.
if you have time, could you just maybe took time to stop by our MB w203 club Indonesia meet, on Saturday afternoon? my friends will be very glad to see your rare car
Well i wouldn't call it much of a mod because all i've done is i just went to the local workshop nearby, asked them to pop up the headlamp and scrub it all of, its been about 8 years since 2003 the car wasn't properly maintain, anyway i asked them to pop it off and suddenly a thing got in my mind, why don't change the Headlights?! to... lets say... Bi-Xenon! so i did! i decided to put on the 4300k to make it look Genuine and nope... i would never go beyond 4300k except i hate the world and i wanted to blind people's eyes :roll eyes: .
So next... the Fog lamps was also changed to Xenon as well as the head lamp but not the small lamp (i don't know what you call that and i don't give a damn -_-) and the dimming sort of lamp. Other than that, I also asked those people to do spooring and balancing (i don't know if you have those kind of method or names on Europe or US, but Google it) before i hit the road again.
Why i decided not to purchase the HID headlamps? even though there are plenty on sale at eBay. You might be questioning this, but the truth is the original headlamp is already stunning! and if you payed more attention to the face of the CL203 it kind of looked like an SL and CLK, so for now... nope nothing to change for the whole Headlamps.

oh actually i know the Humas of W203 Club, namanya Frendy kan? pernah ditawarin masuk club itu.
So next i decided to change my Wheeeeeeeels and Tires
to something a bit more... High Performance
. A rare wheels caught my eyes, it appears to be an OEM Genuine 19" AMG Forged Wheels that are originally used on the E63 AMG!!! i didn't think it was a perfect match until...i put it on my CL, God it was beautiful
! and i never would have thought that a 19" would fit perfectly on this Coupe! truly it was a miracle. The store also offered me a brand new 2011 manufactured Michelin Pilot Super Sport that is made in France which was considered as a quite rare Tyre to search for. All of it is quite pricey... but...my God, it is truly Worth every penny.A very Special Thanks to...

Here it is:

As you can see of my stupidity that i have wrapped a Carbon Vinyl on my rear view mirror which looks Hideous! so after i took this picture i immediately put it out of its misery.

So i decided next to re-paint the whole Body of the car from silver to a grayish kind of paint job, but then i think... this Silver paint job from Mercedes Benz is so beautiful that i can't even dare to change and even touch it
However there are another alternative that doesn't involve a permanent change to the car itself... Body Wrapping from Wien's, this company is expert on Body wrapping a car, they are experts who have get their hands on Porsche's Ferraris and even Lambo's. So i decided to pick them to do the Job. So i fully body Wrapped my CL to look like something near the SLS AMG paint job, a semi matt Gray it looks Fantastic!!! and one of the reason i chose Wien's is because i was able to pay extra for them to do wrapping on my Home which saves precious time.Special Thanks to...

as i move on searching for spare parts, kits and any accessories of the CL on Indonesia, I decided to gave up and turn onto eBay...again. Surprisingly i have found a brand new Grille which will make the CL looks like the ferocious SL or even better the CLK Black Edition, then i found this universal Carbon Fibre Shark fin which i believe it will look good on the CL, simple yet...angry.
The Item was delivered on time, i received it 2 days ago.

The weird yet angry looking Shark fin

And here is the result when the Grille are perfectly installed

More Pictures are coming!

Love the leather two-tone interior.
Do you have the designo center console trim, and what other bits came with it, if any? Nice purchase!

Actually in other countries they offered an AMG styling package called "AMG Evolution package".
Ever see the C coupe booklet I had posted? The last page had the AMG package.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ly-2000-a.html
C32 and C30 AMG weren't the only C Coupe models to get fitted with genuine AMG goodies from the factory. Like the wheels he had, they would have come stock.
And apparently you need to have the AMG package before you can add the designo package. Poor us in the USA, they marketed it as a cheap benz, and the auto press still said it was expensive, but in other countries, it certainly was even VERY expensive. Personally at the time, I thought it was a lot of car for the money. These days, people don't blink to shell out 25-30K for FIAT Abarth, or a Hyundai Genesis coupe.
AMG Swaybars were definitely worth it at the time, and a great value.
I still have the front one but found a thicker back one reduced understeer dramatically.
Yes, pics of the center console!!! Man, I wonder how many coupes shipped from the factory with designo interior? Even more, is it possible to order all the bits? Ha, like the leather seat covering?
Having my coffee...mmm.....coffee good......and it's from where? Sumatra Indo. Worlds best.

Love the leather two-tone interior.

That can easily be done on the car.
1500 grit sandpaper, and plastic polish with a buffer seems to work.
Tape off the area around the lights.
I agree with you, I have 4300K lights and prefer it over the higher Kelvin lights.
I think spooring is another name for 4 wheel alignment. Balancing is done with the wheels off the car, putting weights on them.
As far as finding goodies for the C coupe, German Ebay is good, but typically they don't export outside EUR.
BUT what could you possibly need? You already have every possible goodie with AMG and Designo.
Well you can order updated tail lights from german site for about 250 US. That company does export.
That would be well worth it.
I thought the original lights looked good when I got the car, but both the lights and tail lights looked dated after a few years to me with everyone going to clear headlights and the newer tail lights are one of the best mods for the money, really helps the appearance of the rear.
I went through hell to get the factory Bixenon's.
