I think if you really are going to go all out w/aero packages and stuff then yes it will look nice. But if you are going to keep a nice conservative look w/non flashy wheels then stick to the hood ornament. When I first got my car it felt GOOD driving around looking at my Mercedes hood ornament on the hood knowing that I paid for my first benzo at 20. Anyways ultimately its up to you

I want to put a flat badge on my car as well. What kind of badges are available for my car. It's a C230 kompressor sedan. Does the flat badge from the coupe fit???

Must admit I'm a fan of the hood ornament. Guess I like the way it looks in the winter as the ice builds up around it while going down the highway. Kinda cool looking!

Heck I am such a fan of the hood star I went out and bought one for my Coupe the day after I bought it. Only then did I find out the amount of work it would be to change from the flat emblem to the star.
A 26 mm hole would have to be cut into the hood
It can be done, just I would really have to want it BAD

I like the hood ornament. Not because it's there for everyone to see (surely a bling bling giant star on my grill could accomplish this), but because I think it's a "classic" look. The one thing about Mercedes that hasn't changed.
