Issues with wiper switch and Driver window switch
Anyway, I have two issues with my 2001 C320 that I'm trying to figure out how to fix. First is the wipers, when turning the switch they work on medium and the fastest mode but not on the first mode, the slowest setting. On a RARE occasion it does work on the slowest setting but then once I turn it off and try it again it wont work again. The other speeds work just fine so I'm wondering what could be the problem.
Similar thing happens to the driver window switches. As of now, non of the switches work on the master window switch. My driver window is halfway stuck open as I type this. Also on a rare occasion the main switch would work out of no where, it works when it wants to. Every other window door switch works individually just not on the driver's master switch. Any ideas what could be the problem or if these two issues are related at all considering they both only work when they feel like it. Maybe a short somewhere? I really have no clue so any help or tips would really be appreciated.
Thanks

It could be the switches in the drivers door are bad, or the driver door module. Have the driver door switches been wet? Spilled liquid or rain? I would suspect even the wires from the switch to the door module might be loose at the connector.
The wiper switch in the stalk might be bad. It is a lot of work to take it out, so you might think about leaving it alone.
In a rare case the two problems could be related. Both items send switch requests on the CANbus which is a serial party-line for the vehicle telematics. If there is a module that is causing the data line to held low nothing can get through. Sounds stupid, but put your wipers on a position that works and try the window. If it works, the wiper switch is hogging the CANbus.

As for the wipers not working on the first slow position, is there a way to test the wiper switch in the stalk? I do plan on taking the dash apart to do the stepper motor noise fix and while I'm at it I can have a look at that.

Seems like it's the same problem I'm having except I'm only having the problem on the first turn. Anyone else think a new relay might fix this for me since it's just one turn that doesn't work?
