command advantages

OK. What are the advantages of having command other than the navigation systems and aux in? Is the navigation system really worth 1200 bucks? I'm still deciding wether to put a computer with a flip LCD in my car or the command. Obviously the command looks better but the computer can do more such as playing MP3s, DVDs, and navigations. Also, is it possible to feed external video inputs such as DVD players and PS2?

comand just looks better and cooler. It looks a lot cleaner than aftermarket navigation systems.

There are heaps of threads on this topic...

Yes you can watch DVD and TV on the command but you must buy a tuner or adapter. A portable MP3 player can be attached via an auxiliary input that you can buy with the command.

All this would probably cost more than an aftermarket system (not sure of prices for a tuner/adapter in the US) but you get the aesthetics and preservation of the steering wheel controls

It really depends on what is important to you - whether it is worth $1200 is totally a personal thing. I think its worth it but don't take my word for it - STFF!

OK thanks. How hard is it to install the adapter? I mean does the adapter plugs before the antenna input (like an FM modulator) or what? And doesn't the aux input come with the command or do I have to add that one too? Thanks.
