btw, I don't think MB has extended warranty from it self. All the extended warranty is carry out by different company in different states.
i am thinking about getting an extended Warranty. I am planning to keep the care for about 8-10 yrs. What do you think? I was talking to my dad and we both came to the conclusion that nothing MAJOR would happen to this car.
having had Germans include BMW and MB and Audi in the family for almost 20 years, my dad and I still came to the conclusion to buy the extended warranty for my sis's CLK and my car. My brother's 97 528i which we had not bought the extended warranty had several problems although nothing major. One of these problems has yet to be fixed because it require taking apart the dash and such. It's the faulty airbag warning light. My brother wish he had bought the extended warranty then, now he just doesn't want to bother to fix the warning light.
also, my dad's 96 XJ-12 had broken crap recently, my dad wished he had bought the extended warranty for that car too. The items which are now broken are the inside self dimming mirror, and the digital clock no longer works. Good thing Jaguar extended the powertran warranty to 10 years or something just for the XJ12 otherwise we would've had major headache.
