Speaker pop when I turn on car

Hey everyone - Every time I start my C230 the speakers in the car make a really loud popping sound. It doesn't happen if I have previously turned off the radio before turning the car off, but as soon as I turn on the radio it does it. I have the stock Bose system, and have done nothing to it. Any suggestions on fixing this?

Thanks,
Tim

sounds like you might have a wire grounding out possibly. is it all the speakers or just one?

Im having the exact same issue, havent tried turining the radio off before i shut the car off but I have turned the radio off when I started the car and it still did it.

I have the same sound system with an audio 30 head unit and it just started a few days ago. Did you find out what was causing this?

It was a bad bose amp, google it and it's an all too common problem on these cars. If you have the bose system that is probably your problem. Dealer wanted $1800 to replace, so I went aftermarket. I paid $1400 for a new Pioneer double din touchscreen radio, and a 12 inch DD audio sub in the trunk. The shop had to bypass the bose amp and and rewire my speakers, but I am really happy with the result. I now have bluetooth, xm radio, etc in the car and I love it.
