"annoyance" and "self-righteousness", amoung others...
Anyone ever follow through with any differential/rear gear ratio swaps?
Can you not just purchase a ring gear and pinion (or whatever the hell alien machinery is inside a merc rear end)?
I'd love to have a 4.10 back, at least 3.73 at the very lowest gear ratio.

I know this is old but I saw some fairly new posts on this so...
I have had a 3.67 in my car for about 2 years now (maybe a lil more). On a trip from NY to NC I got 41.2MPG (set of fresh plugs in the car too). This is a bit of proof that it will not trash your mileage. If someone is looking for this rear, I am selling my car shortly and will be pulling it as I learned that selling a stock car is better than modified.
The only issue I found was that Cruise Control got tempermental on me a couple times on the highway when going up hill... basically cut out/ off

Addict,
I'd like to know what gears my 06 c350 manual' rear end has to see how big of a change I'd be making, but Im VERY interested as to the point of calling dibs if 1) youd be willing to ship and 2) reasonably significant jump in gear ratio (Ive been a chevy man all my life so the only ratio I can compare it to... lets say Id say itd be worth it if the change was at least as significant of a jump from 3.42 to 3.73)
