C230 kompressor SportCoupe
Floorboard filled with water

So i have a 02 c230 kompressor SportCoupe. Today we had some heavy rainfall. I went out into my car just a few minutes ago to grab something and noticed the carpet on the passenger side was wet and filled with a puddle. So i lifted the carpet up to find my floorboard on the passenger side filled with water from the front to back. I am completely stumped on how this has happened and if anyone knows of what could of caused this and how to resolve without drilling any holes.

I would check sunroof drains as well as drains at bottom of windshield for clogs

I have no sun roof, i cleaned all 4 drain holes on the windshield and put some water down it and it all came out the bottom of the car. It does not seem to be clogged, it was very dirty on the drive side but i noticed that the passenger side was wet when i washed the car last. As stated before, my car does not have the sunroof, is there another drain i am missing?

Your airbox drain. Behind the carpet on the side of the trans tunnel.

Soaked passenger side floor

Under he hood just below the windshield on the passenger side firewall is a horizontal black plastic cover with many square openings - use a long screw driver or stick and push it through the plastic grill - the drain is plugged and overflowing in to the car.
Your electronics if wet as a result, is a serious problem.
Good luck

Hey everybody, I'm new here, this is my first post, and I'm having the same issue, but on the driver's side front floor after rain, and especially after a heavy snowfall. I have cleaned all the drains under the windshield wipers, and checked the sunroof drains. Ran about a quart of water through each drain in the sunroof, it came out under the car. Any other ideas where it could be coming from? The car is 2004 c230, 79,000 miles I bought it a month ago. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I had this (very common) problem with an e46, and the culprit for that particular car was the vapor/moisture barrier behind the door panel. If torn it will let water into the car through the bottom edge of the door panel. Might be worth checking out.

I checked the car out again, (finally raining), ant the water is dripping from under the dash. I pulled the fuse cover off, and there were some drops under there, and I could see it down the kick panel on the side. I'm at a total loss. I love the car, but this really concerns me. Have no idea where it's coming from, can't see far enough into the dash to see.

Do you think it could be leaking around the windshield? I had that problem on my 1996 Infiniti G20. I'm new to Mercedes, so I don't have much experience with them and don't know whether it is a common problem.

Ok, we had a good day and a half of rain, and I think I've tracked it down, and I think it could be coming from the door weather seal I noticed some wetness on the upper part of the front of the interior door panel, and checked the rubber seal around the door, and found a small area of separation directly above the wetness. I guess I'll change that out, and we'll see. Any thoughts are still welcomed. I'll keep you posted.
