Hi good people
My Merc had a broken mounting plate of fuel gauge. After replacing it started hunting (the engine reving up and down in idling mode). I was told to buy new air mass sensor. After fixing this, the problem continued. I was told to buy v-belt tensioner with fan belt and idler. The problem continued. If the air mass sensor is disconnected, the car stops hunting. I have been driving without air mass sensor. These cars are not many in Malawi and our service centres are not that sophisticated to handle such complex problems. Before I continue buying parts that are not required now, can I have your views and suggestions? MITUMBA, MALAWI
