Changing the prefacelift radio with JVC

Hey guys, i'm really tired of the radio in my prefacelift w203 (2001) and i want to change the head unit. I don't really care about the steering wheel controls, so is it possible to use this JVC radio + kit?

http://www.ebay.de/itm/JVC-Autoradio...item53e54c9127

If it is, is the sound quality as good as it can be with the stock speakers or is it even worse?

Thanks in advance - 2ran

And i forgot to mention i've already tried an aftermarket unit on it, but the unit didn't even turn on. It's like theres no connection. Also i've tried several adapters and head units, but with no luck.

Will the link above simply be plug and play?

You would probably want to upgrade the stock speakers 1st & see if you like the improved sound quality, then do the head unit afterwards. Most aftermarket head units are not plug-n-play.

Well, i will do that in the future, but for now i need to play my own music. I have the audio 10 with the cassette player, so radio has been my only choice. I just want to know if it will work?

Both units can be made to work, of course. It will require work to do so - maybe bring it to a car audio shop in your neighborhood to have them do it? If you want a plug-n-play solution, check these guys out http://www.audio-10.com

Good luck.

Thanks. So to get aux or usb i have no plug-n-play choice? Because the audio 10 cd player is exactly the same with a cd player. And how is a aux tape adapter?
