i want climatronic, had it, the 09 85 unit and it didnt work on me. sold it and it worked for them . im tempted to try and get the 02 85 unit and try it out to see if it will work. i dont believe the excuse about emmisions. how do other california cars with climatronc work. help me if anyone has anythoughts! alos i want ot retrofit the cinnamora in my car.

I like the Brown poplar wood trim better. I think the Burl Walnut trim in the 3-series looks better than the Laurel wood trim in the C. The Laurel wood does looks kinda plastic in comparison.

I agree with tifosiv122 that the aluminum trim ain't 100% all that good either, but at least I think it's better then the Laurel wood. I actually perfer the Black Birdseye Maple if they are available for the C32.

CitronC230K_03,, I suggest you check out the dealers price for the cinnamora wood. I have heard over $1,900 Brown Poplar the same over priced amount. That is why I got the C320 wood, there are over a 100,000 C Class sedans with the correct wood

tifosiv122, the wood is a straight exchange for the aluminum pieces so being made correctly by Mercedes it had to fit perfectly

I was at a dealer today to pick up my second air cleaner inlet for dual cold air for my Coupe. Caliber Motors has HUGE sales, E class under $50,000. A SLK55 for $49,000. A C240 6 speed for $24,500 C230K sedans for $27,000

I'm not defending wood - I hate it in a car, but: it is spelled "Ukrainian", not "Ukaranian". Also, their colors are blue and yellow.

I understood that, but you still needed to remove the parts without breaking (or scratching) anything..which is what I meant by looks clean. Enjoy the new look.

Some of you may remember my long (5 months) wait to get a C320 coupe with the six speed. The dealer kept telling me that no coupes of my configuration (c1, c5, c7, comand,cd, wood trim) where being scheduled for production. Turned out it was the wood trim that was causing the delay....you can't get it with a comand system!!! Soon as I heard that, I dropped the wood trim and the car got built w/in a month.

Out of your 22 posts you actually have some that are worthy of this forum. There are people in many of these forums who use their own judgemental ideas on everything. I usually ignore those people as they are not contributing to anything. You have an opportunity to actually learn and contribute to this forum. I have met some of the members of this and the C Coupe forum and they are great people. I am sure you are too.

You are probably right. It's not like I haven't wasted my money on other MB parts before I got ripped off on eBay a couple of times. Still have the chrome headlight rings that fit all C class (EXCEPT the Coupe). Global Autoshop is the biggest rip off, they don't return anything, even when they misrepresent the items.

I have an entire console they shipped with the laurel wood, a light brown color. I will put the arm wood rest cover on that one and keep my original one

Performance Auto has a great return policy, plus I can drive over to Van Nuys and look at the stuff before buying

They are checking with the maker of all MB after market steering wheels in Germany, to make a 3 spoke Coupe wheel with laurel wood inserts for me.

I am the only one who I have to please, my tastes run to wood trim in MB's. I respect others who like the aluminum in the Coupes and Sports sedans and C32. The only car I did not like was the G35 interior. The main reason I did not buy it.

To be honest, I think it looks like cheap plastic as well. As an avid woodworker, and having replaced all the extensive mission style wood work in our house, I find that encased in resin look of the MB wood rather cheesy looking. Its not as cheesy as fakey fake plastic wood(hey, did someone say Acura?) but its still pretty lame looking, at least IMHO. The C-Class standard wood doesn't seem all that nice. Again, just my opinion. I'd take the aluminum anyday.

Now what's this about BiXenon Coupe lights for 1300 minus 15%????

I just checked on MBusa. They've updated all the model to 2004 and all the sports model will come with patterned aluminum other than the C32 which will still have the textured aluminum.


For 2003, the C230k, C320 sport sedan both come with textured aluminum which looks like little square things on the aluminum. (previous sport pkged C240/320 as well) that looks like this:
