AC Heater Fan not working!

Well, let my GF borrow my car today, and when she showed up later, the AC wasn't working. Grrrr...well, thanks to the knowledge I have from this forum, I popped open the side door on the dash, pulled out the hand fuse diagram, and followed it to the #40 fuse, and found the damn thing was practically melted in place. I had long ago put the included bag of fuses that's located in the spare tire area, into the glove box, and fond a 40A rplacement, replaced it, and still the fan didn't work.
But I figured it needed a reset or something so...

After turning off the engine, removing the key, waiting a minute, running the flap reset (push the defrost and recirc buttons till they start flashing) everything was good again.
Also had to cycle the various knobs on the control panel. IT WAS FIXED! (Edit, ha, I forgot to say it was FIXED!
Glyn, send me a pair of those glasses...ha)

So....doesn't appear it was my GF's fault. Though a hell of a coincidence that the last time she drove it, the gas door was stuck in the locked position and 2 OBD codes.....

Then it's likely the fan regulator has blown or the fan motor itself is kaput or seized.

If you had bothered to clean those coke bottle thick glasses of yours, you'd see that I already resolved the problem by replacing the fuse.

BUT yes, I am wondering if it is a harbinger of problems to come.

My reasons for posting are two fold.

One, the owners manual didn't teach me how to find the fuse, the spare fuses or the diagram. It mearly pointed me to the fuse locations, Thank you Mercedes USA. (not!)

But thanks to this forum and the knowledge gleaned from it, I knew,
a. where the fuse diagram was
b. where the spare fuses were (under the spare tire but long ago moved to my glove compartment)
c. Where the fuse puller was

Why mercedes didn't see fit to put these 3 items together in the same place, I cannot say.

Meanwhile, I hope you're not telling me I can expect the rather expensive looking part you've posted to fail anytime soon.

And thank you to MBWorld the C Class guru I am today.....oh wait...I didn't qualify for "Guru".
I'm still a lowly "Fanatic".
