What are the choices in wood veneers?

What are the choices in wood veneers?
I know about Laurel (kind of a deep brown burl) and Birdseye Maple (lighter, gray color). Are there any others?

Thanks, Glyn. I was looking to get more wood for my car - I've already got Laurel pieces on the door and the center console. I was looking at Ebay and somebody was selling some of the other pieces I need describing them as "dark brown". From the picture, they look really close but if they're off, they'll look terrible.
Given that I'm talking about the US market, what are the chances that "dark brown" means Laurel?
