Not difficult it's just a little plastic insert key size with little push tabs that lock it in. You can just pull on it with slight force and it will pop back out.

I think they look nice, and keep road grime out of the key hole slot. Plus it blends nice with the handle and from a distance you can't see any keyhole for the car.

See Garage
You know, I don't think the surface abrasion issue is either a "New Paint" issue or a "Darker Color" issue, or "country of origin" issue. My two previous cars were both WHITE, and they each developed "cup abrasions." One was a '94 and the other a '96, from different manufacturers, too.

My '85 300ZX (Pewter) and '88 Caravan (also white) had this problem, and I know both of those were painted before the switch to "water colors."

A little GS-27 (Walmart) cleans these marks up without even rubbing. To me, these aren't really scratches... abrasions at best, more like smudges, really.

Actually, the part # is 210-766-00-56 and my dealer has them in stock.

Thanks,

I'm going to get one for the door and one for the trunk right now!

scratches

i have the same problom on my black c coupe with the scratches near the door handles i am always carefulbut if someone else comes in the car they obviously dont care. and also i think when i have brought mine in for service i have realized that that have given me some sctatches there 2.
By the way i had my car waxed a week ago and today i looked at with the sun baking on it and it looked so bad there were swirl marks all over it. it looked like i never had it waxked before. i would love to wax it more often but it takes forever.
