Installed Chip Today
WooHooooooo! Just spent the last 60 min driving around like a “bat out of hell”.
This is my day so far.
09h30 I recieved a call from DHL saying they have a delivery for me and they will be droppoing it off this afternoon.
10h15 I arrived at DHL headoffice - like I could wait.
10h30 Back home ECU with Powerchip inside installed.
10h35 turn key and pray for spark - vrooooooooom
11h00 off to garage driving very conservativley as my is filled with 95 ron not 98 as the chip requires.
11h30 empty 95 and refill with 98.
And just as i'm about to see what Powerchip have done the sky opens up and starts pissing down like a perfect winters day in Cape Town. Traffic comes to a hault and there I sit - home time.
And then it clears.
Vroooooom Vroooooooom
I hit th freeway 0-100km/h what a differance, well maybe its more the 40-80 that one really fells it. Roads still a bit wet.
100-200 "get out of my way" I want to see what happens in 5th. No luck. To much traffic. I've only done about 60km with 98 and it feels like its pulling more every km.
All through the gears theres more power you can feel and hear it. I will have to put in harder springs - Weitec been recomended. I'm not sure how much fuel I'm going through, give me a week and I'll get back to you. They said 10-11% more power and I think there right from the feel of things.
Will be putting it on the dyno as soon as I can. Next week sometime, and i'll find out what's really going on.
But so far its wonderfull.

Here We Go again
Can you PLEASE do and post the Dyno result as soon as you can?
I have been wanting to do this chip for the longest time but keep hearing opinions to the contrary from other more seasoned forum members.
Thanks

Have a Kleemann pulley on my SLK230AMG, Cat removed, performance filter, modified fuel valve.
My C Coupe is still very much standard.
Just starting. Wheels CLK 225 fronts 245 rear. Eibach springs on order. Staying away from filters until ASP pulley arrives Then sending ECU back to Powerchip to be mapped again........ They have proven themselves worthy in my books with a standard M111 but I would like to know what they do when it has the ASP pulley on. My SLK ECU keeps giving picking up faults and retards the timing. SUCKS.
Powerchip say that once they've remapped it this will never happen, as long as I run 98 Premium. We will see.
Out of here back tomorrow with dyno results.

Long awaited results 10%
Last month and today
-37 kw factor so KW = 160
-57 Nm factor so Nm = 312
Thats neither here nore there its the 10% increase I like.
I still have standard everything on the car, filter etc

Good results!! ... just wondering....is your car auto or manual?? ...
Maybe I should've taken the offer when Powerchip offered me 22.5% discount for their chip last month ... well...too late now :o

You can't really argue with Dyno results.
Granted the 2 runs were not done back to back with just the ECU swap in between, but 10% is significant enough.
I wrote to the company a week ago with a list of questions, if they come back the way I want I will order for my M271.

Here's what Powerchip NA website says about M111/Pulley:
=========================
Unfortunately we do not currently have a Powerchip available for your Mercedes-Benz C230K Sports Coupe (Pulley) 2.3. Your vehicle has been seen by Powerchip but with our current technology we cannot obtain significant gains from it.
Please complete the registration process though and we will contact you as soon as a chip becomes available

My car is an auto.
As for the dyno. A back to back would have been ideal, but in my case impossible unless Powerchip had come to South Africa to install it.
A dyno is as close to proof of fact as we can get here
Which is why I was reluctant to get it done - no forums had one for the M111. Someone had to eventually. I will get it done again next week after they have had there dyno serviced (calabrated) - every 3 months. Will post results. Off to fight with traffic vrooooooooooom

Did the chip remove the typical Mercedes throttle lag (punch the throttle at a dead stop and the car feels like you are gradually increasing power)?

Could it be that good?
Could it be that good on a C 240. I'm crying for engine mods. Need some speed w/o having to buy a new car.
What is their website (powerchip)? www.powerchipgroup.com <-- just found it!
From their website!!!
Datasheets
In standard form, the Mercedes-Benz C240 2.6 produces 168 hp, however the addition of a Powerchip Gold 91 will increase the power to 183 hp. In addition to the extra power, the torque is also increased. The C240 2.6 produces 177 lb.-ft standard, and this is increased to 192 lb.-ft. This means more pulling power especially up hills.

More questions on the 2nd reading of Data Sheet
I just realised the data sheet, according to PowerChip, was produced from using the 1.8 engine (capacity 1796 CC).
WOuld this be same result for the real 2.3 litre engine? or would it be better? or at least more consistant between dynos??
