i have a base c240, there is a plug in the center consul for a phone, i opened the cover and there is an antenna wire there also, i opened the trunk and no pse or wiring, but there is an antenna wire going in to bumper, when i press the phone button on radio it says no phone!, there is a microphone, and thats it, if there is a wiring harness available from a wrecker is it plug and play (im sure it will have to be programmned) i've searched the forums but not that much luck, they all start with 2004's . thanks for any help.

If you have wiring and a plug in the center console, you already have the phone harness. But you need a suitable phone and possibly the cradle for the phone. Can you upload a picture of what is in your center console?

Note - i have only looked at europeean phone installations. US might be different.

You may find that if you get the parts for the phone from a wreck that was done with a 03 completer kit, it will only work with a circa 2002 phone. None of those analog phones will work with current US wireless networks. The analog tranceivers have all been switched off.

Check with a dealer, they did have rather reasonable Bluetooth pucks that will work with contemporary phones.

thanks guys, i know i can get completer kit parts on ebay real cheap, i want to go the blue tooth route, its my onlu option, but my question is i have a phone jcak rj45 in the armrest and an antenna wire, but when i open trunk i see nothing on the right side except and antenna wir going in to bumper. so im wondering if i pulled the rears seats out will there be a wire loom there or not? there is no harness in the trunk for the voice control and no teleaid in the trunk either so i know i need wiring loom, there are a lot of post on here to walk me thru wiring if i get a harness,
