QUICK Feedback needed: Tein S Lowering Springs
Hey guys, i need some quick feedback. I have 80k miles on my stock suspension. I was thinking of just throwing some springs on there and calling it a day. Has anyone used Tein's on a 4matic? Also i am getting them installed $350 with alignment. Thoughts on the springs and price please
Thank you!
Thank you!

I had Teins before changing to H&R's but i do not have a 4matic.
The reason i removed them was because they felt a bit soft.
this is what the car looked like when i had them

By soft, do you mean that the car bottomed out or had tire rub, or just that there was too much body roll?
I'd like to lower mine, but I'm actually more concerned about retaining the ride quality of my daily driver/family car than improving the handling capabilities.

There was still body roll but way better than stock suspension. At the time I had not swap the sway bars from stock to AMG which was a noticeable improvement right away.
In your case, you already have the thicker bars and thicker end links which I also had to upgrade. Remember that the 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 sedans did not come with the thicker, better suspension components unless your model was the c32 or c55.
Do you still have the stock rims? if that's the case you should be OK.

I would go with Eibach, lower(but not stupid low), better control, not as harsh as H&R, made in Germany quality and an exact fit for our cars. I bought the springs on Amazon for $253 for the complete set
Thicker sway bars are the biggest bang for the buck when it comes to handling changes

Not sure if they have a kit for 4Matic, you will have to call Eibach in Calif 1-800-507-2338 tech help as the catalogue does not list for C240 w 4matic, they may have a different fitment that works but is not listed
you will have to drill out the tabs on your struts to fits the sway bar links for the AMG bar as the bolts are 10mm and not the 8mm on standard links. Also the links are beefier with larger ball joints and thicker rods.
Also through-bolt your front sway bar brackets in the Aluminum suspension cradle/substructure. Usually galvanic corrosion takes place and when you unbolt the brackets most of the treads come with it. Luckily with longer bolts and access you can back a nut and washer on top of the structure and torque to specs...also gives you piece of mind as that bolt will never pull through under hard cornering

Eibach Pro-Kits are designed to go on OEM struts

I just put the Eibachs on mine and it was a good compromise between looks, handling and ride quality, not too mention mobility as I need to get over speed humps, steep driveways and inclines in my area and I need to get through our snowy winters
Drop it too much and you will affect the other aspects of suspension and car dynamics...sometimes 'less is more'
