A Service

I've had my C240 for 18months now and only have 11000 miles on it. Still have another 1500 to go until my A Service, according to the FSS. Is it bad that the oil in my car hasn't been changed in a year and a half? My dealer said its not a problem, but I don't really trust them.

I don't know about you guys, but I've been to the service department a couple times and I hate having to deal with teenage service advisors. True, I'm not that much older, and I only have a C240.....but it would **** me off if some 19 year old punk was "advising" me on what to do with my 80K car.

Just my two cents.

Anyway, would appreciate your opinion on whether its hurting my car that it has such old oil.

the FSS monitors your quality of the oil and how dirty it is. they also take into consideration on how you drive (flooring it or gently) and such. so I wouldn't worry too much...the FSS has been proven to work.

there are 98 FSS cars that have over 140,000 miles on them and they are still fine...look in the M-Class forum.

I recently had my service A done and I was real impressed with the customer service at my dealer. I wanted to bring it in on a Friday, but they couldn't get me a loan car. Then they told me they had a shuttle that will take me home and pick me up when it was finished, but I didn't want to waste my dat off without a car. Then they told me they will send a technician to my work and they can do the service in the parking lot. I was really happy with their service. Sorry, I just thought I would mention that.

WOW

Thats customer service. I hope they did everything including those little things that normally are only done in the shop; like washing your car and leaving muffins for you in the vehicle. I bet Buell would like that.

His location says "Houston TX". I think he may have "jumped" context and was putting himself in someone else's shoes who owned a more expensive MB, you know, as an example.
