Reseting the computer. (I think the english word for it is FSS)
Hello people on this forum.
I have a question.
But first I need to tell you the details.
My father owns a Mercedes C-class 180 from 2001.
My father doesn't know anything about how to access the internet, so I ask this question in his place.
The car has this computer that keeps track on everything or "the FSS" as I think it's called.
Every 30000 km tha car has to be taken to service.
It's time for A-Service now. He took the car to a repairshop.
One thing that they tried to do at the repairshop was to reset this computer/FSS. But they couldn't do it.
This is in Sweden, by the way. That may explain why they didn't "manage to"/"knew how to" reset the FSS, maybe.
Anyway, I was told that you can reset the FSS yourself, if you know how to do it.
So, my question is this:
How do I reset the FSS (trip computer) on a Mercedes C-class?
I've heard that it's "some combination of turning the key off and pressing the FSS/odometer button.
Would be happy for any answer at all.
