C240 4MATIC Stalling issue
176k Miles
Basically my car has problems when either it's hot/muggy out or if I've drove it for a long distance. If I'm coming to a sudden stop in traffic or if I'm turning, the car will stall to the point it will shut off or shut off & continue 5-6 seconds afterwards. Sometimes I experience the check engine light coming on if I let the car sit for days (it'll more than likely occur if it rains & then the weather becomes muggy.)
I took it to the mechanic today & they basically told me nothing was wrong & all I needed was a tune up which is hard to believe. I've googled the symptoms & so far in more than 3 situations, the solution was to either clean the MAF or to replace the MAF & CPS. Never once was a tune up the solution. I'd like to confirm if that could be my solution before I go back up there tomorrow so I can tell them to replace these things. Could maybe spark plugs cause these symptoms? Or is it more than likely MAF & CPS related?
Also, and more importantly, what code is CEL showing? Did the mechanic say?

I thought it was the fuel too but I ruled that out because if I were to turn on the air which has nothing to do with the fuel pump, it would speed up the process of stalling. Like one time when I drove for a long distance, it wasn't really that hot out but my windows were getting foggy, I turned on the air so it can see again then eventually, the car stalled & stopped. I turned the air off & it did not stall again. The check engine light wouldn't stay on long enough to actually go & get it tested.
