help with 6310 install
I got the PSe from Steve with the cradle, etc... I installed the PSe in the rear right of the trunk where i found a fiber connector, pse connector, power connector for antenna switch and antenna cable. I plugged everything in except the antenna since I am waiting for the switch. When I put the phone in the cradle, it still says no phone. I installed fuses in 13 and 16. I opened the black panel in the trunk floor where the teleaid is. I noticed the connector for the VR with the fiber connector for it also. I did not mess with these. Did I do something wrong?

The fiber lead you connected to the PSE is not part of the original D2B ring...you will have to add the other ends of these PSE fiber leads to the car's fiber ring.

ok, got the phone to work now. There are a few fiber connectors in the trunk floow under the large black plastic piece. The fiber for teh phone was looped together and was not part of the ring. I shifted some cables around and made a complete ring and it works now. I will have to move some more cables around again when I get the voice control again so i better leave it open. hope you all understand the fiber loop. the changer, comand, phone, teleaid, amplifier, voice control each have a in and out for a fiber connection. They have to all be linked so the in of one goes to the out of another component. WHen benz ships the cars, the phone is left out of the ring since it will leave the loop broken. The voice control is also left out of the loop. If you add either of these components, you have to move the cables around to form a new loop with the new component. As of now, it says initializing phone and it's been sitting there for quite some time now. Will update you all ont hat

Parktronic is not offered int he states as an option as well as the tuner and the Nokia Kit so none of these are available and that is why I installed them my self.

The phone is doing weird stuff. It doesn't work properly. It says stand by on the screen. I checked the comand system and went into diag mode. The actual and confirmed do not match up I think the dealer will take care of this now.
