Some "Silver Vision" comparison pics
Here are some pics of my rear turn signals. The passenger side is the one painted with high heat aluminum spray paint. I will probably get real Silver Visions if I ever see them.
By the way this is my new 2003 C230 sedan, 6 speed, BiXenons, sunroof package, Bose upgrade, heated seats, and CD changer.

i may have sprayed the passsenger bulb a little heavy, the drivers side is a little brighter, but like I said these are temporary untill I get a pair of silver visions. I dont feel like ordering them though. I also dont want to use LEDs, maybe if they were "plug and play" but I think installation is more involved than that.

Nice looking ride!
Btw--I see that you bought your car from Ray Catena. I bought my car from there. How was your experience? Mine was great! I actually met Ray Catena himself at the dealership.

I hate Ray Catena (the dealership, not the person) but I use them for all my parts because they are about 20% cheaper then most NJ dealerships.
Reason for my hatred? Over $5,000 worth of damage (covered under warranty) and a month to fix my brand new SLK because upon delivery they installed the BOSE amp wrong...
As with parts, I got my Jag at RC and service it there because there isn't a closer Jag dealer within an hour...of course we've replaced every part of that car including the engine and tranny within 25,000 miles...not 100% sure if its the car or the service.

I like the idea of the Silver Vision bulbs but I 'burn' through bulbs about one every two months or so. MB has changed out the wiring harnesses twice but I still seem to burn out bulbs (currently out: right fender signal). In any case, are these drop in replacements or would I need to get a load balancer\regulator? Thanks.

Ray Catena himself looks as though he is around his mid 50's. He actually doesn't look too old however. While all the salesmen where in suits and ties, he was in casual beige shorts and a collared t-shirt. He was trying to keep a low key, and was very nice. He was just walking around the dealer. When we were negotioting the price of our car, he had to get involved because we ordered our C230.
Good Luck with your new car!

Unfortunately the LEDs, at this point, do not work well for the sedans due to the rear lamp design. The light output is blocked by the centre strip and since the LEDs do not diffuse light as well, the signals appear a bit too dim. I am waiting for the new style radial LEDs from formymercedes.com to be developed. Those will throw light off to the side as well, hopefully solving the problem.
