MBUSA bought back my 2002 C240
Many of you may remember all the problems I had with my 2002 C240. Including Xenon lights oging out, ESP/BAS malfunctions, sunroof not closing, and swirl marks. After many trips to MB Fort Lauderdale (An AutoNation) company, the local regional rep in Jacksonville offered to buy the car back! It had 8,4XX miles.
Writing letters and, starting the Lemon Law process works!
We worked out a deal where I could get a 2002 SLK 230 for a fair price. MBUSA and MB Fort Lauderdale both chipped in to make it happen. So far the SLK is great. Wish me luck!
PS..wonder if they will sell the C240?

i'm glad it worked out for you! i'm assuming you are ok w/ going from a 4 door sedan to a 2 door convertible.
out of curiosity, do you know if your car was made in germany?

I've had the same good lemon law experience on my 1984 190D. They admitted to the lemon and traded my car in for a new one. The car was less than a year old and had 35K miles and a dent so I had to pay the blue book penalty for the over miles and the dent + the extra options on the new car I picked out but it was fair.
