2006 C230 SPUTTER LIKE MOVEMENT?
I have a 2006 c230 sport sedan with about 81k miles. The other day I was driving it and when I was coming to a stop I pressed the brakes. Released them a bit and then pressed them again. At this point the car began to do this sputtering motion. It did this for about the next 2 stops and at a complete idle it was a bit rough. It wasn't shaking out of control but it was shaking a bit at a complete stop. I pulled over, turned the car on and off and it completely stopped. Any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED? I am new to mercedes

Not sure exactly what might be wrong but you can start with changing air filters if they're dirty, removing and cleaning the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner and removing the elbow below it and cleaning the throttle body with throttle body cleaner and a shop towel. I recently did that to my C280 and the occasional rough idle is gone and at cold start ups the engine doesn't shake as much for the first 30 seconds like it used to. Spark plugs and fuel filter should be changed at around 105,000 kms so if that hasn't been done yet might as well change those items. Plenty of DIYs here on the forum if you plan on doing this yourself.
