W203 lock question

As the weather gets colder, I sometimes leave the car running while I dash into a store/redbox etc. Some cars will lock themselves with the driver door closed and the motor running, so I always lower the driver side window a little. Does the w203 do this?

Nein. Only if somehow the car goes over 9mph in your absence.

Pull the metal key from the FOB, lock the car with the central lock button, close the driver's door and use the metal key to lock the drivers door. You can then enter the car by using the metal key to unlock the driver's door. This is all possible assuming your lock mechanism still works with the metal key so check first.

Geez, at that point, wouldn't it be easier to hire a hooker to sit in the passenger's seat and unlock the car instead?

I guess it all depends on the going rate in your neck of the woods

I'm in Joisey, so looks like I wouldn't have to worry about removing the metal key.

Brilliant! hadn't thought about the metal key...the central lock button wont lock the driver door if it's open though (as in when i'm getting out), so i'll lock the door from the outside with the metal key...i'll also see what the hooker rates are

I agree that the hooked idea is definitely a good one but be selective and follow up on references...don't want to get your car stolen!
