O2 sensor code turned out to be an unplugged sensor. CEL still on?

Recieved a bank 2 sensor 2 code, ordered a new sensor and discovered this morning that the factory sensor had worked its way loose from the harness. It was completely disconnected. I cleaned the connections, verified the pins were all present and clean, and hooked her back up. How long does it take for the cel to clear itself? Is this a normal occurance?

Thanks guys!

you will have to clear the codes, easy with a OBDII reader
