Transmission Fluid Check Prior to Service - YELLOW -
Hi guys,
I have had the Automatic Mercedes CL203 Sports Coupe 2004 for 1 month now. I recently invested in a dipstick and 12L of Fuchs Titan 4134.
I checked my transmission fluid yesterday and found it was free from black or grey and had a nice viscosity. However, it was a yellow/green colour. It was at the perfect level. It appears as though it has been serviced recently but with a yellow/green fluid. The transmission behaves properly, no slippage or noise.
Is there a later fluid that is Yellow or Green which may have been used?
The Fuchs Titan ATF I have here is red and i was expecting the fluid to be red when i checked it... I read on a forum that MBs latest fluid is a yellow or green colour, but not sure if thats true.
Let me know what u guys think.

The Benz fluid is only red in America. Straw/green fluid would have come from Europe. All the Genuine Benz fluid from Europe is Straw/green to differentiate it from the Dexron range.
The US seems to like all ATF to be red.
BTW the latest Benz 236.15 fluid is Blue by decree of Benz & only for the 722.9 Plus. It is not reverse compatible & a much lighter viscosity.

Gee thanks Glyn, maybe in Australia, we use the European fluids?
Would it still be ok to mix with the Fuchs 4134, after i try and get most of it out?
